Lawrence
Eric Davidow, the managing partner of Davidow, Davidow, Siegel & Stern,
LLP has redirected the firm, originally founded in 1913 by his
grandfather, into one of the first and most successful Elder
Law, Special Needs, Estate and Business Planning practices on
Long Island. He maintains the quality legal services the original
firm has been known to offer for generations. Mr. Davidow was
a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, almost
from its inception, which sparked his awareness of the public's
need for Elder Law education. He has become committed to informing
elders, the disabled and their families of their rights and utilizes
his skill as an informative, enjoyable speaker on a local and
national level to accomplish this goal.
Associations: In addition to his full-time
legal practice, he is a Past President and Fellow of
the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; Vice President of
the New York State Bar Elder Law Section; a Member of the Board
of Directors of the National Elder Law Foundation; Immediate Past
Editor of the New York State Bar Association Elder Law Section
Newsletter; Chairman of the Long Island Alzheimer's Association's
Legal Advisory Committee and a member of its board; a member of
the Board of Directors of the Long Island Community Foundation;
a member of the Board of Directors of Maryhaven Center of Hope;
Past Chairman of the Suffolk County Bar Association Elder Law
Committee; Past President of the Suffolk County Estate Planning
Council and the Past President of the Suffolk Chapter of the American
Parkinson Disease Association.
Background: Mr. Davidow graduated Phi Beta
Kappa from Tulane University School of Arts and Sciences in New
Orleans. He then went on to attend Tulane University School of Law,
where he earned his law degree. He is also a Certified
Elder Law Attorney (CELA), awarded throught
the National Elder Law Foundation.
Published Works: Mr.
Davidow is a published writer on the subject of Elder Law, appearing
in several related publications. He is the author of "Tax Implications
of Transfers of Assets", published as part of the Elder Law
Portfolio Series, Little Brown. He contributed to the "Essential
Facts, Estate Planning and Family Wealth Transfers" handbook,
The Taxation of Medicaid Planning, Trusts: The Gift Tax and the
Trust Income Tax and The Charitable Remainder Trust and The Crummey
Trust for The Elder Law Report, has supplied various outlines for
national Elder Law symposiums and writes a column for the New York
Law Journal.
Public Speaking: Mr.
Davidow is an accomplished speaker and is dedicated to educating
senior citizens and their families to the complex issues they may
be facing, as well as their available options. He currently lectures,
free of charge, to community, professional and institutional groups.

Lawrence
A Siegel, Partner
Lawrence A. Siegel joined the firm in May, 1998. His practice
focuses on all aspects of business law, tax and estate
planning, a natural extension for the Elder Law and Estate
Planning firm of Davidow, Davidow, Siegel & Stern.
Throughout his career he has always concentrated
in the practice of trusts and estates, business, corporate and tax
law. Mr. Siegel's extensive training and experience, which includes
a Masters in Tax degree from New York University, enables him to
complete sophisticated tax planning for many complex businesses
and individuals. Over the years he has developed intricate estate
planning strategies and techniques and managed the implementation
for a diverse group of high
net-worth individuals.
Mr. Siegel serves as general counsel to both closely
held and public companies. He has been a frequent lecturer and advocate
on business succession planning for all closely held companies.
Additionally, he has been the lead counsel in numerous corporate
acquisitions, divestitures and financings in both the public and
private sector.
In addition to his aforementioned Masters of Law
degree in Taxation, Mr. Siegel attended the University of Rochester
for his undergraduate studies, and earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence
from Albany Law School. [back

Steven
H. Stern, Partner
Steven H. Stern is a partner with the law firm of Davidow,
Davidow, Siegel & Stern and concentrates in the
areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning, Guardianships, Business
Succession Planning and Long Term Care Planning. Mr. Stern's
credentials are perfectly suited for the firm, orginally
founded in 1913, which continues its tradition of quality
legal services devoted to the elderly, the taxpayer, the
business owner and the disabled on Long Island.
Mr. Stern graduated from Tulane University School
of Arts and Sciences in New Orleans, Louisiana and then received
his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan,
graduating Cum Laude. He is also a Certified
Elder Law Attorney (CELA), awarded through
the National Elder Law Foundation.
Prior to Mr. Stern's legal studies, he served on
the Staff of the U.S. House Select Committee on Aging which involved
Congressional Hearings dealing with the issues of elder abuse, long-term
care, and health and legal services for Long Island's senior citizens.
While attending law school his concern and interest for the elderly
were actively pursued by participating as a Senior Associate on
the Law Review as well as an internship with the Sixty Plus Elder
Law Clinic, which offers free legal services to senior citizens
within the community.
While actively practicing law, Mr. Stern dedicates
his efforts to several professional and charitable organizations.
He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and
is the current editor of its national publication. He is also active
in the New York State Bar Association's Elder Law Section, representing
Long Island's judicial district. Mr. Stern is a past chairman of
the Elder Law Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association and
also the past-chair of the Young
Lawyer's Division of the Suffolk County Bar Association. He currently
serves as an Officer of the Suffolk Academy of Law. In addition,
Mr. Stern is a member of the Board of Directors of the Variety Children's
Learning Center, legal counsel to From Our Hearts, Inc. and is also
a trustee of the Multiple Sclerosis Society - Long Island Chapter.
Mr. Stern is a valued speaker on Elder Law issues
and has addressed both local and national professional organizations
and community groups. A frequently published author, Mr. Stern
has had numerous articles appearing in "Suffolk Lawyer", "Elder
Law Attorney" and "Senior News"
and has also been featured in "Newsday" and the "New
York Times". In addition, he has received the distinction
of being named one of Long Island's top 40 rising leaders under
the age of 40 by Long Island Business News. [back

Michelle L. Black
Jablonsky, Partner
Ms.
Jablonsky brings a wide and varied background of practice areas
to the firm. Early on she was responsible for the gathering and
preparation of legal research and a memorandum of law of legal
topics including real estate, personal injury, matrimonial, landlord/tenant
and elder law. But it was her experience with the drafting of trusts,
wills, health care proxies and powers of attorney that initiated
her interest in elder law. She focuses on elder law and estate
planning issues, specifically Medicaid eligibility, asset protection
and providing her clients with long term care planning advice.
Ms. Jablonsky is a frequent lecturer on elder law and estate
planning issues in an effort to educate the public to their options
regarding long term care planning, has written several articles
that have made it to publication in various law journals and contributes
to the firm's weekly newsletter.
She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1998 and is an
active member in the Suffolk County and New York State Bar Associations.
Additionally, Ms. Jablonsky practices in the areas of Real Estate,
